Swift FX air blast fixed

It’s not my solution but it works extremely well.

The other day “Amigo” posted the following with a picture of his Exhaust Diffuser

I tried this approach on my Swift FX and the results are amazing.
There is no air blast at all; you can hardly feel any air movement 1 inch from the outlet.
It makes no noise, even when directed directly at bedding.
I can now sleep on my front with an arm in front of my face without it freezing.
I can’t feel any difference in the performance of the mask, or see any difference in the ResScan Data.

Mine blows air on my arms too and my hands. I have arthritis very bad in one arm , but so far this Summer it hasn't bothered me at all. I do keep a pair of fleece mittons on hand for those nights when it gets cool. I also wear long sleeves. So I imagine I will have to come up with some thing for Winter time. I love my Swift FX far better than the nasal mask I was using. I have a much better seal and sleep lots better with it. I get a kick out of all the ideas y-all are posting. I find the Swift FX diffuser (tiny holes) much better than other masks like the Activa in the air vent outlet. It's good you've found a way of reducing the airflow coming out of the vent, the only thing I would suggest is that most of this is carbon dioxide, so you don't want to block that port too much otherwise the harmful carbon dioxide won't be forced out of the mask. Likewise the masks are designed to leak a certain amount to keep the pressure up, so try not blocking it too much. Providing there's enough airflow coming out still and it's just diffusing it more then it should be okay in theory.

I was very concerned about blocking the air vents, but I can't see any change in the flow rates in ResScan.
The filter material is a very open mesh and there isn't much of it.
