Since there's no support for that, could we at least have an ability to hide topics that don't interest us, similar to how we can hide posts from "enemies"? That would help to de-clutter the forum for those that wish to use it!

Simple. The board automatically places new posts at the END of the list.

Yes, I checked for responses to my post. Silly me, thinking that a rational post might have elicited a rational response. Won't happen again in this thread!

Now if only I could find some way to kill-file this thread. May just have to kill-file the forum, and cpap-talk. The signal to noise ratio is dropping fast ... FYI, similar crap, and spam, sank usenet.

Ok I really haven't bothered to read the last bazillion pages of this thread.... but basically the problem boils down to the fact that newbies have trouble finding answers to their questions, right? So, splitting the forum up into 5 categories means that instead of searching through 100,000 posts for an answer, they only need to search through 20,000 ... hmmm in my opinion that's still A LOT of posts to search through. So categories wont't really help anyone. IMO We just need to keep the cpap Wiki up to date , just the same way RG keeps her LINKS TO posts up to date.

That is what the forum is missing in my opinion, a better updated Wiki with more info... and one that is a bit easier to navigate. Even I get confused about how to find a particular topic in the Wiki.

I must admit I haven't done my share to update the Wiki either... perhaps it hasn't reached critical mass yet?
