PR System One Question?

Post by Coolhandace » Wed Aug 11, 2010 10:06 am

I spent the last 4 years using the M Series Auto CPAP Machine with C-Flex. Last night was my first night on the PR System One REMstar Auto CPAP Machine. I expected an improvement but was surprised at how much better it worked. It is a huge improvement. My question is about the hours used. I slept for about 7.5 hrs but when I check the machine it says 5.12 hrs? Does anyone have any idea why it would say that? Thank you for the help.

What time did you go to bed? What time was it when you checked the data and got the 5:12 hrs?

Probably not set correctly for DST. It's in the setup/DME/Administrators section of the PR1. Mine also wasn't set correctly when I first got my machine.

Also, remember that the interface only shows the 7 and 30 day averages, not last night. You need the software for the "individual' days information, and details.

Thank you for the response. I have the provider guide and have accessed the provider mode screens. I cannot find a clock or time zone setting. The blower hours also reads 5.12 hrs. I wonder if my power was off last night?

I called the power company. There was no power outage last night. I am taking the SD card in to my dealer to get a print out.

My PRSystem1 is set to UTC time. When I read my Card with Encore Viewer it corrects it for my local timezone but it won't show the last night's sleep data because it does its calculations based on on the last 24 hours and since the day is still going on it will on display yesterday's data. I have to wait until after midnight to grab the full days data. Maybe that is what is going on with your machine but since it can't correct for the time zone it is only showing the information based on the UTC time zone.

I had my card read and it said I used the machine for 7.5 hrs last night. My dealer is calling Respironics to see what the problem is.

The PR1 tracks Blower Hours and Therapy Hours. Blower Hours are all hours that the machine is turned on. Therapy Hours are only those hours during which you are receiving good therapy. For example, they will not include time when you are having large leaks. Which number were you looking at? Is it possible that your Blower Hours are 7.5 and your Therapy Hours are 5.12?

My PR System One REMStar Auto CPAP does not have time zone(DST) option for me to change it, even in provider(DME) mode.
Is it normal?
Thanks

Mine has a GMT offset setting. The DST on/off setting is in the reporting software. I suppose one could also change the GMT offset by one hour.

Today my total blower hours are correct for the two nights. Strange! I guess I have nothing to worry about. Thanks for the comments.
