Re: ACR38 Card reader
Did you know that the card goes into the machine one way and then you have to flip it upside down when putting it into the reader?

Yes the metallic side up and it still says "connect flow generator or data card"
Re: ACR38 Card reader
Please forgive me if this is so obvious that you already tried it, but have you plugged in your card reader and card before starting up the ResScan software? Or restarted ResScan after plugging in the card?
I have a S9 with SD/reader (which I don't leave plugged into the computer) and the first time I tried to download data I got the error "No flow device or reader found" (or whatever the exact text is). It so happened that I had plugged in my reader, started up ResScan, then inserted my SD card. My computer recognized the card and I could browse the files, but ResScan kept saying nothing found. I waited a number of minutes, etc., with no luck. While the SD card was still in, I shut down ResScan and started it back up and it ResScan recognized the reader and card now. I was able to download etc.

I am sure I did but I will try it again, thanks!
Re: ACR38 Card reader
Well the ResMed reader came in the mail today and uit worked!
Maybe I am missing something but the data that it provides seems to be the same as the data that I read on the machine itself every morning. Am I missing some important features to the software? The reports seem to give me a full look at the AI, AHI, and the HI all of which I have been tracking with my Excel spread sheet.

Re: ACR38 Card reader
You need to align the resmed card, on mine I took a sharpie and made the marks, from the top of the reader measure about 3/4 of an inch down Place your card there and then mark the other side of the card. When inserting the card, turn the card with the gold side up. On this site there is a thread on the measurements and photos.
Re: ACR38 Card reader
To download all of the data collected instead of just the summary data, before clicking Start Download, click Select (next to the Data box). Then select the All Summary Data And ... radio button and select a number of sessions from the list box (if you download every day select 1). Check the Include Equivalent Number Of High-Rate Data Sessions (If Available) check box. If you are using ResScan 3.10 or higher you can check the Set These As My Default Options check box at the bottom of the window so that you don't have to do this every time you download.

Re: ACR38 Card reader
Will this give me more than just the AI AHI and HI for the last year?
Re: ACR38 Card reader
On the ResScan Review screen, have you clicked the Detailed Data tab at the top. You can change the day displayed by double-clicking a date in the Browser window on the left.

The software will allow you to see detail level data for the entire night, whereas the numbers on the screen are summary numbers. The screen will give you 1 AHI reading for the whole night. The software will show you a minute by minute graph of a number of item. Key is the leak line, and knowing what type of events you might be having. If you have an auto machine, you can see the pressure level changes, and correlate that to possible leaks and events.

Re: ACR38 Card reader
thanks for the heads up, I can see all the details now - only for the past 3 days. What does the box above the red arrow mean in the events portion of the graphs? They have numbers ranging from 10-25? Is there a way of saving the details in PDF?
Thanks,
John

Re: ACR38 Card reader
The red bars represent apneas. The height of each bar corresponds to the length of the apnea. The number at the top of the bar is also the length of the apnea, in seconds.
To save the data, you can either do a screen print (or screen grab) and then paste the clipboard into a graphical application. Or you can click report to have ResScan generate a printable report. You can direct that to a PDF printer.
