Re: HERE WE GO AGAIN!!!
Hi,
I am sorry to hear that.
When you do sleep, how well are you sleeping? Before I started on the machine, I would fall asleep for moments at a time all day long. I would accumulate enough sleep this way that I wasn't tired when bed time would roll around. Then I would sleep badly at night, and wake up tired enough to start the daytime catnaps all over again. If your treatment isn't going well, perhaps you are doing the same thing.
Once I did get on the machine, I found that I really only need about 6-1/2 hours of sleep per night. That was down from about 9 before starting CPAP. First off, I didn't really know how to fill the extra 3 hours each day. I had to find new hobbies. Second, I was finding that I wasn't tired until midnight most days. I ended up turning off my alarm clock. I go to bed when I am tired, and I wake up when I am done sleeping. I never lay in bed awake. If I cannot sleep, I get up and do something. Granted, it is hard to do this if you have to maintain a rigid schedule. But after a while, I found that I naturally fell into a very regular schedule.
