I am puzzled. Riddle me this please. What's the difference between "mask X with headgear" vs "mask x WITHOUT headgear"?
How does one use a mask WITHOUT headgear? I'm thinking ductape. God I love ductape!
Second riddle: Does mask x have more than one set of headgear available for it? I am thinking the Mirage Activa, Softgel, etc.
Third riddle: What the heck happened to Crispy Creme donuts up here in Canada? We lined up for hours when they first opened to get a dozen. Dooooooonuts. MMMMmmmmm.

I ripped the headgear off of my Headrest. I just use a headband around my forehead, with the hose tucked underneath.

OK. I got it now. My headgear is all gone as well and my hose floats loosely supported above me by a velcro loop and clip sold on cpap.com. When I travel I use the same thing attached to a wire thingy that slides under the mattress and sits above my head.
The headgear part is now figured out.

The mask is the bare mask, the mask w/headgear comes with the straps that attach it to your face. That's why they call it headgear, it's the geat that holds the mask on your face. The headgear usually outlasts the mask, so the mask can be replaced sooner. Also sometimes more that one quality of headgear can be purchased. Jim

In looking back I know my father had undiagnosed sleep apnea and he suffered greatly for it. I WILL NOT go through that. Using a cpap is easy compared to that.

Crispy Creme did not do well up here (next to Tim's) so they closed up shop.

I am thinking the headgear is the stuff on top of the mask that holds the tubing right now... the reason is that there are a number of posters on the forum that list their mask as being with or without headgear and I'm wondering how one uses as mask 'without headgear'.Goofproof wrote:The mask is the bare mask, the mask w/headgear comes with the straps that attach it to your face. In this case you are thinking incorrectly. This is a mask w/headgeartorontoCPAPguy wrote:I am thinking the headgear is the stuff on top of the mask that holds the tubing right now... the reason is that there are a number of posters on the forum that list their mask as being with or without headgear and I'm wondering how one uses as mask 'without headgear'.Goofproof wrote:The mask is the bare mask, the mask w/headgear comes with the straps that attach it to your face.
