Hello everyone, I have been using CPAP since December '09. I had major issues with the first mask causing huge blisters on my nose, and switched to a Hybrid, which worked for awhile with small nasal pillows, and recently adjusted to medium pillows, which sealed for a few weeks, and now they won't seal, they slip right out at night and I wake a million times having to fix them.
I am still learning and hoping to get the hang of this.
I am Carrie, will be 30 years old next Thursday, married for 6 years with one son, who is 3. I have a family history of sleep apnea, my Dad, grandpa, and my uncle all had/have sleep apnea.
Looking forward to the wealth of information I can gather here.

Welcome Carrie!
Congrats on your upcoming birthday!
Glad you are here, youll find so much here to read, and so many nice folks to meet..
Hey, I love my nasal pillows, have you ever just tried pillows without the mouth part of a mask?
you just have to make sure you dont breath thru your mouth by using a chin strap or taping your mouth a wee bit.
Anyway, welcome.. you are going to need to make sure your therapy is working well, if youre chasing a three year old around..

Hello and welcome. I've read tips on here before by others who have resolved the same problem you have with the pillows on the Hybrid. I'm sure they'll come along before too long with suggestions and/or links to prior discussion. One I remember is tying on an extra strap to stabilize the pillows. You can use any soft material, like a strip cut off an old t-shirt or the leg of a pair of tights. Just make sure nothing can slide and cover the vent.

Re: Newbie Here
I have a Hybrid mask because I don't breath well through my tiny little nose LOL My pulmonologist made fun of my tiny little nostrils and told me he could understand why I couldn't breath well. I have been a mouth breather most of my life because of it, so I feel like I am suffocating with just a nasal mask. But I do love the hybrid, so much better than the FUll Face.
