Mexico Customs and Cpac

Post by mspan737 » Tue Jun 01, 2010 7:28 am

Hello my husband and I are going to Mexico this summer and he uses the cpac machine. How is customs with the carry on process? Can we bring on destilled water?

CPAP Machine and related accesories including an extension cord should be fine, Do not put other personal items in with your Cpap equipment or else it will count as your carry on bag. You will NOT be allowed to bring Distilled water with you, but you can purchase distilled water in Mexico (depending on where you go). I would just use regular bottled water from the resort in my machine if its only for a week or 2.

I had no problems what so ever they never took the machine out of the bag,it was x-rayed and sent through. All they asked was is it a cpap machine.

I just took my machine to Mexico last month. I had no issues with customs at any of the airports I went too. All knew what a cpap was and they just xray'd it and swabbed it. You can not take distilled water as a carry on, my hotel has filtered water so I just used that water for the five days I was there. I had no issues at all.

Very Interesting. Up until reading of this post, I was not aware that the U.S./ Mexico border was policed / patrolled?
