Starting Over

Post by Mary » Sat Oct 29, 2005 7:41 pm

Yes I am starting over with a new DME got rid of the evil one
Now have one that at least knows that there is more than one CPAP machine and many masks. She even talks people language and not short hand like the other one did. I sure hope that this works better for me.
Getting a Remstar Auto with CFLEX, heated humidifier and my choice of a new mask.

Hi-that is the machine I have, it is the first thing they brought. I must have got lucky...looks like other people have to go through many before they find one that works for them.

starting, but not starting over

This is good information. I have an appointment for next week to get my first machine, and I didn't want to do this twice. I want to get the right machine the first time. I had almost decided that the Remstar Auto with C-flex and heated humidifier etc (like you got) was going to be IT, I can't see how that could go wrong (other than a little pricey, and maybe bulky to travel with).

I enjoy the candor that this forum expresses with their love/hate relations with the various types of equipment, I find it very informative.

Please tell me what the old EVIL ONE that you had was, so I can update my knowledge base. And what didn't you like about it?

THANKS !

Way to go, Mary!!

I'd have written "WTG, Mary!" but that would have been too short-hand-ish.

Glad to hear you're getting a nice autopap and all the trimmings.

I did alot of research on this subject on this forum and decided to ask for the Auto Remstar with cflex and heated humidifier.but my DME said it wasn't needed in my case.I only need a flow of 6 which isnt as high as others, and its not hard to exhale at this setting. I like the Remstar Plus with heated humidifier,it is very quiet, it came with the Comfort Classic mask, which I may change at some point. Rod
