Good numbers
Good numbers
I have been sticking to my titrated pressure of 13 as prescribed. Last night I got a .1 apnea and a high of 5. For the resmed I hear that can be cut in ha;f and added to the AI.
I have been concentrating on keeping the mask a bit tighter and trying to sleep on my side. I have had several nights of good numbers so i find that encouraging.
Updated my photo to reflect my current age. The other photo i had was a younger me

Re: Good numbers
Pdean44,
How do you get good numbers with your S8 Ellite II cpap machine? I have the same machine and my titrated pressure is 12cm. Your titrated pressure is only 1cm more than mine. How did you achive this? I need help getting my numbers below 5. I use the Mirage Liberty Full face. Any help would be greatly apprecitated. Thanks.
Sincerely,
Chad

Re: Good numbers
one of the biggest things i have found is that i had to stop the leaks on my mask i that was not helping things. I wear the mask a bit tighter than I used to.
I also dont think it makes a difference but i make sure the humidity reservoir is filled to the mark and dont allow it to get low or half full.
I had a bad run with colds and allergies and that was not helping things for me.
I think it is important to keep your nasal passages clear.

Re: Good numbers
I keep fiddling with things but what ever i was doing did not seem to help. Then one day i tohught why were they a bit better in the beginning what was i doing different. Then i recalled when i first started i wore the mask so tight it was giving me headaches. So now with the correct pressure and wearing the mask tighter but not crazy tight it seems to help. I also have been working on my sleep routines and habits. I wonder if that water reservoir plays in to it at all?

Re: Good numbers
I forgot to mention i found a movie on you tube that a doctor put on instructing on the proper way to wear the specific mask i have. He mentioned that i should only have a couple of centimeters of deflection in the cushion so it was pressed much closer to the face than what i was doing. I think wearing it tighter reduced the leaks when i move around at night and that helped.

I like your new avatar photo too. The kids were really cute, but it's nice to see your smiling face. Glad to read that you're doing well, pdean44!
Re: Good numbers
Woot and yet another very good night of sleep and great numbers! I am very happy
Glad you like the new picture
the older one was a younger me that i had floating around on my computer. i always liked the old one because of the kids.
The time flies
In my old photo the child on the left was mine the other 2 were my sisters. She lives 3000 or so miles from me and that was the first time i saw them since they were babies so i was loving that. I have 3 daughters. The time flies mine are adults with the youngest 16 now.
I have way too busy of a life to be exhausted all the time before my day had even begun. I am getting good treatment now and am quite thrilled and excited about it. If i can keep this going i cant wait to see how i feel a few weeks from now with consistent good numbers.

Re: Good numbers
Yes, the children do grow up way too fast!
If your experience is anything like mine, it keeps getting better and better! I've had good results from the start, but even now (7 months after starting CPAP) I continue to feel improvement. That's such a great feeling--to know that your body and brain are healing. Enjoy your new life!pdean44 wrote:If i can keep this going i cant wait to see how i feel a few weeks from now with consistent good numbers.
Re: Good numbers
Sweet on the feeling better. Another good night for numbers last night. I see each night as a small victory
