<grin> I did have rather a good THREE days, actually!

A good friend of mine, Allison, has her birthday on the 15th, so we usually get together on the 16th to celebrate both our birthdays.

This time, however, we had a party at a local restaurant where everyone could come and buy what they wanted to eat or drink, and then we'd just have a grand old time talking.

This is a restaurant where we often eat, so we had our favorite waitress making sure everything went as it should -- and the restaurant comped Allison's and my dinners!

I baked an apple pecan cake (apples, finely ground pecans, eggs, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves) and made honey-vanilla topping for it.

And a good time was had by all.

Then on Sunday, my Dad took us out to the Beef Connection (similar to a Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, but a local restaurant), and we had very good meals.

And finally, on my birthday itself, Harry took me out to Don's Seafood, and I had some lovely shrimps, broiled in garlic butter. He also got me a nice mushy card.

Now I need to go for a long walk! (I'm sure the Dachshund Duo and her Beagleness would be willing to escort me for that one...)
