Swift fx
Last year i tried a swift lt and could not get a good fit. I am currently using a comfortlite 2 with small pillows. Has the swift fx changed enough from the lt so maybe the fx will fit.
Re: Swift fx
The pillows are different and much softer. I really like the way it fits. It's much less intrusive than the LT headgear, and I still get zero (or near-zero) leaks and a great AHI.

Re: Swift fx
Hi!
I had some trouble getting comfortable with my Swift LT for her - also felt like somehow I was in between sizes - small and medium but just couldn't get completely comfortable with it. I now sleep every night with my Swift FX and just love it. Also, I have slept on my side and my belly with it on! I really enjoy the lightness of it and no hard items around my nose, or extending out too far. I can comfortably watch tv or read a book until I ever so gently fall asleep. When you first receive it, you may think that it is too light and flimsy to do any good but it is tougher than it looks. I highly recommend this mask.
Best regards,
Jersey Girl

Re: Swift fx
I wanted to add that I used medium pillows on the Swift LT and use medium pillows on the Swift FX as well. So far so good, but I do feel like the Swift FX pillows might be slightly smaller.

Re: Swift fx
I also think that the Swift FX pillows are a little smaller than the LTs, or so it seems.
With the LT, I started with medium but quickly went to small. I used them from then on. When I got the FX, I tried the small and it was not bad but seemed to begin to leak as it softened up a bit. I now use the medium. It seems to be a better fit for me. As far as leaks go, both the small and medium are good. I just seem to have to do less adjusting when I am settling to go to sleep with the medium.

Re: Swift fx
I can't seem to find out if the small or the medium works for me. I used the small on the Swift LT for her and have tried small on the FX as well as one night with the medium. Having a rough time --so I may use the LT tonight to get a good nights sleep. Then try the FX again another night.

Re: Swift fx
It may take some time to get adjusted. I tried the Fx small for about 2-3 days, got lousy numbers even though I couldn't feel any discernible leaks, etc. Then tried the LT and got great results. Since Fx was more comfortable, kept on swapping back and forth. This has been going on for about almost 2 wks.
Also tried the medium - no luck. Tried o-rings, no luck. Reviewed the video again....same. In fact on a couple of nights the Fx went wild, leak spikes like no other, lots of episodes. Almost gave up on the Fx, and guess what happens? Last night, got a flat leak line, <0.6 Ai? I can't figure it out.
I'll report back....

Re: Swift fx
I am using my FX all the time now.
I apply a little pressure into the middle and out at the ends to adjust the pillows a little bit further apart to install them and then I am good for the night.
It is so minimal a design, that I can't figure out how it will be improved without some sort of XPAP implant. LOL.

Re: Swift fx
well I am sooooo envious of you guys that are using the FX without a problem!! DANG---I am with dtsm--I cannot seem to get good stats with it even though I don't hear any leaks, it is showing I have leaks and in the morning I am still tired. . I used my good old Swift LT for her and slept like a baby. I really REALLY want to be able to use the FX!!! It is so comfortable and light!! I will keep trying - LOL!

Re: Swift fx
Dear Carrie -
I had a lot of trouble with the Swift LT for her - but no trouble with the Swift FX - my guess is that the nasal pillows are sized slightly differently and so, if the LT were fitting you really well, maybe the FX pillows won't and visa versa - of course, I could also be wrong about this - just a guess. It could also be just a different feeling than the LT and maybe you don't like it as much - perhaps the LT feels more like "home" to your brain. Keep us posted on how you are doing.
Warmly,
Jersey Girl

Re: Swift fx
Hi. Why can't nasal pillows be like dentures? Have them take a cast of your nose at the sleep study, and, voilla, perfect fit! Logistically, the FX is working great for me, but my DME says I'm having some leaks around 2 or 3 in the morning and wants me to try a chin strap. He thinks I am opening my mouth, but I'm not waking up and I thought that mouth tornado that occurs would wake me up. Is there any way to tell what the source of the leak is? I'm to the point now, I think, that if I accidentally knock the FX off kilter a little but, that I can readjust it back while remaining asleep. Thanks!

Re: Swift fx
Ha! ha! I love that idea too!!! My nares are more round shaped --not slotted. I think it seems most of the nasal pillows seem to be make for the slotter nares?
I slept last night with the medium pillow with my FX. Still not as comfortable as the Swift Lt for her. And I a teeny tiny leak rate with the FX whereas the LT is have 00.00. I am going to try the large size tonight but will keep the medium handy as I think the large might be too big.
I will report back tomorrow-----wish me luck!

Re: Swift fx
Maybe the wrong place to post this, but does anyone know where a thread is that explains how to interpret the leak-rate information put out by EncoreViewer 2.0? I have no idea how I'm actually doing, but the FX "feels" comfortable and leakless as I am falling asleep. Thanks very much.

Re: Swift fx
Well last night I started out with the small nasal pillow. I ended up fiddling around with the nasal pillows and could still hear leaks and the pillows seem to just not fit right!!! They also seem to be made squishier than the LT. I did take off the FX and put on my good old familiar LT for her and went right to sleep. Dang!! Maybe I do need the Extra Small nasal pillows then. I tried the small and the medium. The Larges are def. way toooooo big. I am going on vacation soon and was hoping to get used to my new mask before I leave but doesn't look like that is happening for me at this time.
