Kevin, thank you for being here and all of the help you provide...
My wife and I are both on cpap and have different DME's. We have the same insurance but we get different stories about when we are eligible for new mask or hose or anything else. Is there any easy way to find out the real story?
Thank you,

Hi Kevin,
I am a Respiratory Therapist with 8 years experience in a 600 Bed hospital. About a year ago I decided to switch to a DME Company. Knowing absolutely nothing about DME, I showed up for work my first day with my stethoscope on my neck! LOL. Its been in the glove compartment of my car since.
Going from a hospital to a DME company is totally different. Not to mention a mom & pop DME. I am the only RT on staff. I am all alone.
My responsibilities are setup, instruct Apnea Monitors: Setup, instruct O2: Setup, instruct CPAP/BiPAP: Setup, instruct Heated Aerosol Trach Collars: Keep up with all Respiratory Inventory: and work in front of the store!!! (my least fav part)
Hospital CPAP/BiPAPs are totally different than home units. We don't do alot of them (less than 1 a month). The owner is wanting to pick up more cpaps, which is fine......but........i am finding it hard to keep up. I do not have time to do follow ups now!!
Questions for you: Which cpap/bipap do you like to use? Mask? Do you decide what mask? Do you use Cpap Titration??
A local Dr wants us to order titration cpaps to use on pts. I don't know much about titration. HELP?
Any advice you can give me is awesome.
Thanks,
Shannon
