Machine doesn't shut off right away?
Machine doesn't shut off right away?
To turn my machine off I hit the start/stop button but it doesn't seem to turn off right away. There's still air coming out of the mask - it's not as much pressure as when the machine is on and eventually it stops (by the time I come home from work). But is that normal for air to still come out or am I not turning it off correctly?
Re: Machine doesn't shut off right away?
I remember being baffled by that at first too. Yes, it is normal for the machine to continue to blow air very gently for 30 minutes or so. I believe the intention is to cool down the humidifier. It also helps to dry the hose/mask after use if those parts remain connected.

Re: Machine doesn't shut off right away?
The ResMed machines have a cool down feature. After the machine and humidifier shut off... they blow some air at a much lower pressure across the humidifier and it blow out the mask for about 1 hour... the same way.
maybe... Can't think of anything else...

Thanks! (I guess I will stop unplugging it to get it to turn off-woops)
