Has anyone here gotten either the oximeter or USB adapters for the S9's?
I am guessing that the USB adapter is analogous to the ones used to direct connect the S8's to USB instead of using the smart card reader? If so, seems a little weird as an SD card reader seems more useful overall to me than a specialized cable, but then again I have a couple of cameras that use SD cards.
I am particularly interested in the oximeter adapter and the compatible oximeters it supports. I think that having that kind of setup would be ideal for me and allow a single application to view and track all my therapy info.
Slight hijack of my own thread: I just got my S9 this morning, so tonight will be the first night. I've already reread the clinician's menu (and printing a hard copy to read again before bedtime), set the machine to my liking (the DME set *nothing*, not even pressure...) and packed away my old machine for my primary backup. I also added the ClimateLine and hypoallergenic filters to my cpap.com cart but have not checked out yet.

Re: ResMed S9 Oximeter or USB adapters
If ResMed stays true to form (non-standard components), the Oximeter for the S9 will be anything but cheap. Ditto on the USB adapter. They probably would have rather gone with a non-standard data card than the use of an SD memory card !!
There are actually reasons to do this (other than to make money). If it is a poorly controlled standard the interoperability of the components is bad. But SD cards are fairly standard now. It either works or it does not. So, I think that's the real reason they moved to SD cards. They work almost all the time. It drops their support costs significantly.
And with the SD card, I'm not sure why I would get a USB adapter.

Re: ResMed S9 Oximeter or USB adapters
The SpO2 unit that is compatible with ResLink is the Nonin 3012 xPod (and by default the Nonin 3212 iPod).
I am quite certain that this same unit will be compatible right down to the 3-pin plug, with the S9 SpO2
adapter. That is, you buy a Nonin 3012 xPod or 3212 iPod & ifr you had the right plug, they work with both
the Reslink & S9 SpO2 adapter.

This is from another thread where I posted it today ...
ResLink manuals ...
http://www.internetage.ws/cpapdata/manuals/reslink/
(click either manual to download it)
Also, the S8 Reslink is pretty much the same as the S9 data gathering.
That is, 30 detailed sessions, 365 summary session. High Res flow data (25hz).
The Nonin xPOD 3012 (and thus the Nonin iPod 3212) were the orginal SpO2 attachments to the Reslink
and are listed (see extract below) in the ResLink manual. BUT, the gotcha is that the plug sold
with an xPod other than from Resmed, is different. The 3-pin plug the ReslInk uses is not generally
available (seems it is proprietary to Resmed). I have been unale to locate them.
FROM THE RESLINK MANUAL >>
See section D on the illustration sheet (8000J Adult Flex Sensor only illustrated).
The NONIN® Model 3012 Pulse Oximeter is compatible for use with the RESLINK. It
can be used with either the 8000J Adult Flex Sensor or 8000AA Adult Finger Clip. The
same oximeter cable can be used for either sensor. These accessories are available
from ResMed.
