Thanks to many/ encouragement to others

Dear Friends,
So many of you have helped me with suggestions and encouragement. I wanted to give an update and maybe some encouragement to those having trouble. At this point, over 8 weeks from starting CPAP, I now sleep with my "buddy" every night, all night. I am sleeping all night most nights now without any sleep medication at all. I wake up groggy from sleeping hard and am beginning to feel some better during the day and the brain fog is lifting some. I have gone back to the first mask I tried and it is now working well for me, the Swift LT pillows for her. I hated it at first but now it is the mask for me!! I use the Forma FFM when I am stuffy or having allergies and like it as well. My numbers look good with an average leak rate of .14, a AHI of 3. I can now see the benefit and am sold on it. I will never go back!

For those just starting or having problems, keep trying!! I had trouble with so many things, was so discouraged so many times, but I just kept coming on here and asking questions, and making small changes. Finally it is all coming together!! I am still recovering from health issues caused by years of untreated sleep apnea but I am getting better. If you feel worse at first and don't begin to feel better when you think you should please give it some time. I tell you those few weeks were some of the hardest in my life!! I am sure that there may be more questions in the future and I know there are always new things to deal with but as of this day I am...thankful!
Kind Regards,
Karen

Thanks for sharing your progress. It's a good point you made about revisiting a mask. Some that I felt were just awful early on I think would be more tolerable at this point. Glad things are going well for you.

Dear Karen,

I'm soooo glad that things are going well for you now. I think that once our bodies get over the initial shock of having a mask on the face all night, we begin to relax and become more accepting of other mask possibilities.

I knew you could do it!

Warmly,

Jersey Girl
