After contacting Respironics they have set a target of May for the release of an updated Encore Viewer. It will support the latest system one machines as well as Windows 7 and 64-bit operating systems!

yeah, BTDT Sleeprider, but so far it doesn't work on 64 bit OS. The possibility of having Encore Viewer work by May seems like good news to me.

I'm planing to buy a PR System One auto pap very soon and I would like to know what is the problem with the software, it's not clear to me. Is it that the software used for the previos model doesn't work or it is only because of Windows 7 and 64 bits systems?

I have windows XP and a computer 4 years old

Sleeprider: How can I find the software if nobody sell it? Don't tell me Torrent I don't know how that works. What is EncorePro 2.2?

Does somebody have the clinicians manual for the PR System One DS550?

Encore 2.2 works just fine with my 3 yr old computer with a built-in card reader. Had to mess around with it a bit until I figured it out, but now it works great. I love the breath by breath analysis!

The current version of the encore viewer software (version 1.0) does not read data generated by the newer System One machines. It only interfaces with smart card modules for reading data and the newer System One machines use an SD card to store the data. Technically however the reason the current version of the software does not read the newer machines data is because it includes more information than the older machines did, such as clear airway apnea and better indication if your mask is leaking more than it should or not. Ignore the part about 64-bit systems, as most 32-bit software will run just fine. The current version of Encore Viewer may work in Windows 7, I don't know I haven't tried it, but it's nice to know that the next version will officially support it.

While most 32bit software will run on 64bit windows, 32 bit device drivers dont work at all. Encore viewer will install and start on 64 bit windows, but will not communicate with the card reader. The current version will install and work fiine under windows7 32 bit.
