I worked as a sleep tech for years and now I help people choose masks. We don't carry that many of the Sleepnet's but I LOVE THEM. If I had a choice I'd sell only those. I've only tried the Mojo's so I can't really tell you much about the iQ, MiniMe or Phantom but I HEART MOJO. It is pliable so you can stretch it a bit wider around your mouth, shorter at the chin and pinch around the bridge of the nose. The gel is very soft. My only rub was that they had magnets rather than clips. If you toss around a lot you can knock one loose. BUT it's great if you can't see to clamp the clips on at night or have a hard time with them. The forehead piece has the same gel. If I ever need a CPAP, I'll have a sleepnet mask. No doubt.

I don't get a good feeling about Sleepnet, because when I tried to buy one, I got a message that said: "The new Sleepnet Store will be opening March 3rd 2010. ..." Today is the 9th. This problem is enough for me to not trust them.

An alternative to making your own might be something like the logicalmask.

It's made in Australia but I presume someone in the US is doing something similar.

Hi bearded_two,

I want to address the trouble that you had with our website back in March of this year with the delayed opening of the Sleepnet store.

I would like to begin by apologizing for the poor communication on Sleepnet's part; there is no excuse for that.

Without boring you with the specifics, the decision to delay the store's opening was because we wanted to be able to provide you with a fully functional store. I spoke directly with our chairman Tom Moulton and our president Mary Getty on this issue.

At that time, there was a hold-up in acquiring a provider number for Sleepnet. This is part of the accreditation process that must be completed in order to process and bill insurance such that you (the customer) can get reimbursed. If we had opened the store prior to the completion of this process, every insurance company, public and private alike, would have denied all claims submitted. From a strictly corporate standpoint this would have been not nearly so problematic. However, we felt strongly that this was not in our customers' best interest and so we decided not to proceed immediately in order to avoid a premature opening.

Once again, and on behalf of everyone here at Sleepnet, I apologize for any resulting inconvenience. I hope that this helps to clarify the specifics of the situation. Our online store is currently up and running and we are delighted to say that we are able to process and bill your insurance company for you.

Please feel free to contact me (or anyone else here at Sleepnet) anytime. I am more than happy to assist you in any way that I can. I will send you a PM with my contact information.

Cheers and Happy Holidays!
Jess

THe IQ mask is available elsewhere for half the price that Sleepnet has on their web site. I dont think they make anything themselves. Could be from China or just outsourced. The IQ, MOJO and minime are from Carefusion ( Cardinal) and I think Tiara.

CPAP.COM Mini Me $92.95 Sleep-Net $195.00
IQ $55.95 $185.00
MOJO $145.00 $305.00

The headgears may be different but that is a huge price difference. Am I missing some information?

I actually do have access to plastics vacuum forming machines among all kinds of other goodies.... I would consider making something.
