What needs to be done every so often?

Post by leam » Mon Mar 08, 2010 5:46 pm

I've changed insurance compaines and need to get a new mask. Puppy chewed the old one. Since I've had the machine a couple years, is there anything else I need to consider replacing or getting serviced?

Thanks!

Depending on the type of mask, such as if it is a nasal pillows mask, you will need new nasal pillows periodically.

What type of mask were you using before the puppy got it? I hope the puppy doesn't like to chew hoses!

The mask is just a nasal plug thing. I'll have to go find an image of it and get another one. I do clean the rear dust filter out of the Remstar Plus. Are there any others? Every couple of weeks I clean the hose and rinse it with diluted vinegar.

I'll have to see what's available locally, fitting wise. We've moved a couple states away from the old place.

What do you do with the card thing that plugs into the back?

Again, thanks!

Because your machine is a Plus... the only time that I'd be concerned with the card... is if somebody asks you to prove that you're using it. That's the only information that you'll get off the card.
