ReScan time change

Post by Spirit » Tue Mar 02, 2010 1:55 pm

Hi,
How do I correct the time change on my ResScan software. Although I wake up before noon. Data graph is alway's 2 hours ahead. Such as if I wake up at 11am, software graph will show I woke up at 1pm,. Illustrating 2 sessions instead of 1,.

Assistance greatly appreciated.

You need to change the time on your machine... in the clinical menu, there is a way to update the time.

I 'assume' the data you see is based on what is downloaded...therefore check your cpap unit, it's probably running 2 hours fast?

Spirit, you'll need to correct the time on your cpap. Go into the clinician menu (hold down the right and down buttons), and scroll down to "options". Within "options", "Time" is the 6th item down. If you need the clinician manual, PM me and I will email you a copy. If you already have it, it is on page 24.

OR you can adjust it via your ResScan software if you are using the cable. Very simple.

Do any DMEs bother to set the time? My machine came two time zones off.

Mine was an hour off when I got it home, it was still on daylight savings time. You would think that the DME would at least check it before handing them over to the patient. They have to go in and set the pressures among other things so why not set the time correctly.

The time on my machine was correct when the tech checked it after setting the pressure.

I no longer depend on my DME to set anything correctly on my blower. I either set it myself or double check it all. You need to realize that, just like the pharmacy these days, it is probably a high school kid setting the numbers for the shop. Better than flipping burgers at MacDonalds.

Hmmmm, and here I aways thought my data card picked up the correct time from my 'puter when I did a data download the next time I inserted my card to collect some more data. Shows to go you what I know!!!

I have been guilty of changing the time back an hour or two when I've forgotten to download the data before noon and then changing the time for that hour or two when I'm done downloading. Tsk, tsk. Not nice to fool the clock.

But what the hay, if those idiots in our government can create Daylight Savings Time ..... they insist on us changing our clocks twice a year so why not me change my VPAP clock when I need to check my data before noon? So I create an artificial noon, who's to know??
