Re: mice on bed?
Okay it has been awhile, but yep I put my mask on one night without checking it and the lights were out and unbeknownst to me a bug was hiding in the hose. Well you can guess where it ended up. Now I have a fear if it were a baby bug could it have ended up in my sinus cavity to wreak havoc there. So I turn the machine on for a second before donning the mask to blow it out. I don't care if it screws with the data a tad -- not taking any chances.
As far as mice goes -- they are plain awful. Much much rather have a snake in my house anyday. Mice are nasty, dirty, evil little creatures -- yep I know I am paranoid over them. I have a fear they will get into bed as well. Reason why cords, hoses, etc. do not touch the floor. But I have found mice droppings where you wouldn't think they would be able to get to. So they are clever little creatures (did I say they are evil ). If they want up there they will find a way. One reason why I have traps and bait out all the time. Only good mouse is a dead mouse in my book.

I always heard that cats do try and "suck" the breath out of babies.... so I'm not surprised they are developing schemes of dispatching those of us on a CPAP machine.jules wrote:cats put their paws over the exhaust vents on your mask too and try to kill you
at least this one did
Re: mice on bed?
they all aren't bad --- just that one wanted to stop the hissing of the mask and it took her months to figure it out but she did ...... on the other hand is this cat

eeewwwwww!!! It's a toss up as to what I would rather have in my house. Snakes or mice? Neither! I do have a snake story but.................sleepycarol wrote: As far as mice goes -- they are plain awful. Much much rather have a snake in my house anyday. Re: mice on bed?
This is wonderful, and I sure need to laugh!
My cat brought me a big rat, but hse had been playing with it, and
it had opened up, and guess what was inside?
About 10 more little one's, good kitty!

Re: mice on bed?
I read somewhere that mice move out when there is a cat in the house. Apparently they can smell cat urine for some distance (don't remember how far), but move far away when they smell even the tiniest amount.
Solution: Get a cat or borrow a used litter box...

Re: mice on bed?
When my wife sings, the mice make the bed and sew loose buttons on trousers and the like. Then they dance into their little mouse holes until next time they're needed. Isn't that what is supposed to happen?newname wrote:Can mice climb up on the cpap hose and get on the bed? I'm afraid of this happening.

Re: mice on bed?
I would have to disagree with this. I lived next to this couple who had at least 25 cats ( that's what I counted one day in their living room & kitchen, who knows about the other rooms) When you walked into the house ( which wasn't often) it was like a slap in the face because of the ammonia smell. Anyway, they had mice, not many, but their cats did catch mice. I use to like cats before I moved next to them. They are both gone now along with the cats, but on a hot summer day the smell...............Ms.Snuffleupagus wrote:I read somewhere that mice move out when there is a cat in the house. Tattoo,
He's cute. Many years ago my kids used to have a black and white guinea pig, named Oreo. He used to squeal with delight whenever I came home, cause he knew I would feed him.

Re: mice on bed?
Okay you are gonna think I am goofy -- but my kids already tell me that so I have a tough hide
Remember the cute mouse cat cartoons -- you know Mickey Mouse, Jerry, Dixie and Pixie. -- Well being a kid, I thought mice actually looked like that and were soooooo cute and cuddly. I wanted Dixie and Pixie one year for Christmas, ever so much. I remember going to Montgomery Wards toy department and asking Santa for them for Christmas. I just had to have them. I was only lucky kid that I got them.
Imagine my horror when I found that the "cute mice" of cartoon fame weren't actually cute and sweet but these vicious flesh eating creatures that loom about 8 feet tall with carbide tipped teeth that are razor sharp. I cried and cried for days. It was like a death in the family.
So when I chose my avator it was based on pleasant childhood memories before they were cruelly dashed by the realities of life.
My brother has a couple of cats and he has plenty of mice for them to feast on. Long story -- lets just say I don't go in this house. He is a bachelor and some of the houses on the reality shows on TV are sparkling compared to his.
I am allergic to cats, otherwise I would have one to keep me company.
