Data Software - Pros & Cons

Post by allwxrider » Mon Mar 01, 2010 1:08 pm

I don't have my machine yet, but having data sounds like a really good thing.

Which software do you guys like the best?
Which one gives the bare minimum, yet good enuf?
Pros, Cons?

So is it true that high performance ppl sleep with a Turbo-charger?....JK

Each of the different vendors use different software specific to their own machines. You are going to have to see what machine you get before looking for software unless you know what the machine is that you are getting specifically.

....and then you have to be sure that the model of a particular machine is data capable. If it isn't then the software is of no real use.

Having data is a really good thing!

You make it sound like there IS a choice....lol, there is not.

However comma - there can be a choice of which machine you will get - however comma (again) it is not a simple process unless you educate yourself. There ARE many, many variables to this therapy.

Do some research BEFORE you go to get your machine. Know which models are "FULLY-DATA-CAPABLE". No need for them to hand you something that isn't and then wonder how you got shafted. There's only ONE insurance code for CPAPs. They will collect exactly the same amount from you and your insurance provider regardless of which model you're given. The difference will be in THEIR bottom line (profit).

Do your homework.

What Den says ... and I think it is more like turbo-charged people have high performance sleep.
President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

In agreement with the above posters.............EDUCATE YOURSELF.....not all DME's are either knowledgeable or totally honest. Prepare a list of data capable machines or call the dme ahead to find out what models they carry or recommend and do your research up front. That's much easier than picking up the machine and then trying to exchange it--which is next to impossible.

New member, first post. I've only had my equipment for ten days, and still learning. Must say that everything I've learned so far has been from this site.

First question, I see a lot of folks listing the ResMed software in their equipment, but everywhere I've looked says it's no longer available. Where are they getting it?

I used Google to search for some sites. Here is one:

http://www.cpap-supply.com/ResScan-3-7-p/31305.htm

And here's the search:

http://www.google.com/search?q=resscan+ ... 7+software

I can NOT think of a single solitary reason AGAINST having the software for a fully data capable CPAP "unless" you are a person very susceptible to the "placebo" effect.

Think of this forum as "the sharpener".

Keep reading and asking questions. It's about educating the users.
