The Nonin recording wrist oximeter is hard to beat. Excellent quality and data. They were originally developed w/input from pilots. But their cost is rather excessive. I have a Nonin finger oximeter (non-recording) that I've had for years and it has really taken a beating but never needed more than two AAA batteries replaced.

The SP0 7500 and Contec CMS 50 D+ remain about the best on the market for the price when it comes to recording oximeters. I've done business w/Turner Medical and they are very good to do business with and are reputable.

I got the CMS 50D from Echo Store. I love it!! I regard it as important as the 'family thermometer'. It has really paid itself off... I think it's a 'no brainer' to have a data recording Oximeter around the house.

I have a nonin 2500a that comes with a finger sensor. It seems to be as good as the Nelcore I used in
the hospital in 2005. One must be very wary all night graphs show ing drops in 02 as several things can
happen . one is to clench fist cutting off circulation giving a false drop in o2.
I made purchase from Turner Med and think they are very good to do business with.

A good site to learn about Oximeters is a pilot' site witha medical sideline
Aeromedix.com Snoop around and you will find out what Pilots are faced with.
DR. Blue is a expert. Check them out.

My Dr's nurse swears the Nonin 3100 is the best thing since new soap.

I use Profox software from Turners and the nurse use Nonin software either are good for reports.

Have fun Allen
