Are there factory or default setting -Respironics BiPAP/auto
I've had this machine since 7/06 and never used it much the first couple of years. Suffered for it too. Now, I try to sleep with it every night. The only things is, I played with the settings and may have messed things up. I still don't get a good night sleep. Is there a way to set the machine back to factory settings? If not, what settings can I use as a starting point. I would appreciate any help that I can get...Thank you

No ("default" settings).
But, if you have your prescription and know what your EPAP and IPAP settings are supposed to be, you could set your machine to "Bi-Level mode"......set your "EPAP" and "IPAP" settings to what is on your prescription and the "Bi-Flex" setting to "2".

THANK YOU WULFMAN BUT WHEN I GET TO THE SETTINGS OF MY MACHINE I'M NOT SURE WHAT IS EPAP AND IPAP. I'VE PLAYED WITH THE SETTING OF THIS MACHINE TO NO END. I SAW THE QUOTE FROM "rested gal" DATED SAT FEB 6, 2010 AND DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO GET TO THE SETTINGS SHE SET FORTH. I WAS HOPING THERE WAS A WAY TO GET THE UNIT BACK TO FACTORY SETTINGS.

You must have edited your profile and your post (I can see that it was edited) ......I could have sworn you had an M Series Bi-PAP in it when I posted my answer.
Anyway, try THESE instructions. (they're a little different than the M Series)
They'll get you into the Setup and each mode (option) should have other sub-options and settings.
As you go through all of the screens in the Setup mode, WRITE DOWN ALL of the options and settings you see.....on a piece of paper. Then, you could post them here and we can look them over.

When in the Setup Menu, the humidifier ^ and ramp v buttons operate as up and down keys to change the settings, the left/right user buttons < > allow you to go to the previous/next question or setting, and the pressure start/stop button is used to exit the Setup Menu. Holding the humidifier or ramp buttons down will cause the values to change more quickly.
To enter the Therapy Setup Menu, hold the two top user buttons < > down while plugging in the power cord.
Continue holding the buttons down until the REMstar Auto w/C-Flex beeps twice.
Note: The word "setup" will appear on all of the screens indicating that you are in the Therapy Setup Menu.
(If you press the Pressure start/stop button, you will exit the Setup Menu.)
Bi-Level - BPAP
Bi-Level with Bi-Flex - BFLE
Auto Bi-Level - ABPAP
Auto Bi-Level with Bi-Flex - ABFLE
CPAP mode - (IPAP and EPEP are set to same pressure setting)
