EPAP is small valve you can wear in your nostrils

Does anyone know anything about this small valve for your nostrils? does it really prevent airway opening so I can breathe without using a CPAP?

I believe there has been some discussion on this board of this device (marketed as "Provent"). If you look at the manufacturer's website and track down the studies that are listed, you'll find that the studies were fairly small and showed promise only for those with mild or moderate OSA. Plus, I don't think the little valves are inexpensive.

If my own apnea weren't severe, I'd look into it further, even if only to have a backup for a prolonged power outage.

It does nothing in the way of keeping your airway open, only your nose, and noses are the least of the problems with normal OSA. I certainly don't think it'll treat most of us with any effectiveness.
