"Mosby's Medical Dictionary is an incredibly useful tool for those entering into the health professions. For many, learning medical terminology is like learning a foreign language, and a good medical dictionary is necessary. Students may refer to Mosby's as a tool for completing a term paper. Doctors may use Mosby's when submitting an article to a medical or other scientific journal. When using Mosby's as a reference, a proper citation must be included with these literary pieces. American Psychological Association (APA) is the most commonly used method of citation."

But god forbid that any of us use it to do things like this ...

Doctors may use Mosby's when submitting an article to a medical or other scientific journal.

Because according to SWS & RestedGal they may get discredited. How do I know, just ask me

Good point! ... Quoting Mosby marketing text!

Here are ALL the Google Scholar articles that did that:

Do I smell desperation ?

Again isn't it about time we spared everyone even further confusion.

Perhaps in a few weeks when this has settled down and we can talk to each other again calmly about aspects of SDB we might look into the issue of single apneas as a defined event & the validity of identifying dual apneas as defined as a single or related or dual event. The theme here being if event A is a trigger for event B, should the two be tied together in a medical definition or always treated as unrelated aspects (two separate events). i.e. a label for an A-B event or condition.

Cheers

A proposal to spare reader confusion by insisting on a rarely-used and dissimilar Mosby definition for "mixed apnea"?

This is how often Mosby's dissimilar definition is cited on the entire Internet as the authoritative source describing "mixed apnea":

The good news is that cpaptalk made history!

Seriously, have a good night with no mixed apneas...

Hmmm... As it turns out I just might be interested in trading political favors like that. I think I might be able to pull some job strings as well...
Let me know if you're interested in a position with the Keystone law enforcement agency. Think on it and get back to me!

P.S. They have some pretty funny gun fights as well!
