I am seeing my doctor late this afternoon, but we went to my DME this morning to try to find a different mask. It didn't make any difference what mask I used, that second machine would NOT work properly. If the owner put on a different mask from the 431, the machine worked fine. We are both thinking, now, that the problem IS my breathing pattern. While my bipap works most of the time, there ARE times it is not switching. While we couldn't prove it using a new mask in his office (I felt it once in 10 minutes, but he wasn't looking at the display to prove it). He is in agreement that I probably need a different machine and I will discuss that with my doctor today.
Because of being here, I was able to tell my DME which machine has sensitivity settings so he could look into it today to be ready for when my doctor sends a change order for different equipment.
