I had a BiPap unit that was malfunctioning and was handed a brand new one from the DME. Well that one malfunctioned too and was given a reconditioned one. At first the factory said their was no problem with either unit. But My DME had confirmed the problem of flashing lights and the unit shutting down and starting itself back up. Their was a recall on those units over this past summer for the flashing lights. Reminded me of Kmart when I was younger all those flashing blue lights.

Re: M-Series warranty support
One last update. The warranty replacement unit I received was indeed new, as far as I can tell. The air has that "new plastic smell."
Under warranty, cpap.com wants just the cpap and cord, nothing else. For the replacement, I received a full package, including travel case, hose, and filters. Hard to complain about that.
Since it was my 6-month resupply time, I christened the new machine with a new mask as well (via insurance and the local DME).
My other machine is back to travel status. LIve is good again.

I'm glad you got it resolved to your satisfaction. As for the "extra" parts, not much they can do with them anyway and no need adding more expense to shipping. It is cheaper for them to just forget them. A refurbished will look and smell new too but I believe they have to put a sticker on it saying refurbished so they can't be deceptive about it. Anyway, glad you got it straightened out, now on with the therapy. I guess had a backup since you eluded to the "other" going back to travel status.
