Oops, got side tracked by Gerry and forgot to answer about the skin : ) Btw, I think I meant puppy love vs love puppy - buy it's almost the same LOL

Without the right skin care my skin is red, breaks out in scaly red splotches from time to time, dry in spots and oily in other spots. A real mess. This was mostly after using upscale products from higher end department stores. Then I went natural. Many issues went away, but not all. Then I went REALLY natural and began using Dr. Hauschka skin care and it normalized my skin. My skin is soft, clear, and balanced with just the right moisture to keep my skin healthy.

This skin care line recommends to not use moisturizer at night, which works out perfectly for XPAP : ) I just wash, use the toner (which is not like commercial toners with harsh chemicals) and my face is soft and dry. This line is pure and does not have parabens or other nasty chemicals in it. It is one of the higher end holistic skin care products made and comes at a price - it isn't cheap. But it takes very little and goes a long way. Wonderful skin is the reward for money well spent.

This from the website http://www.drhauschka.com/about/7-facts/

"Skip the night cream; your skin will thank you.
While you sleep your skin is actually hard at work regenerating itself, balancing oil production and expelling impurities. Regular application of night creams interferes with these essential tasks, and over time skin becomes less able to care for itself. Covering the skin with moisturizer 24 hours a day sends a signal to sebaceous glands to cut down on moisture production, resulting in even drier skin that becomes dependent on moisturizing products just to appear “normal.”"

I notice that the nasal mask that I have slides around sometimes, so I have a solution.
I wash my face at night and use and rub an Alum Block on my skin where the mask is seated against my skin. It keeps my skin dry and firm enough to keep the mask in place.

An Alum Block is used as an aftershave...well kind of. It is a light hemostatic (not to be confused with a styptic pencil) and it closes pores, which reduces oil leakage. The chemical compound is KAl(SO4)2. Better known as Potassium Alum. I typically use it in the morning after a shave with a double edged razor, however it now has its secondary use.

I sometimes have to use astringent to get my face clean enough so my comfortgel doesn't slide around and leak. Even then my face sometimes gets oily in reaction during the night and then it leaks. I prefer nasal masks to nasal pillow masks but I have to split my time between them so I can use face and eye cream. Has anyone found an alternative?
Wrenna,

Have you tried the Remzzzs mask liners? You can purchase a sample pack to see if works out for you:
