alligators, bulldogs, ducks, roaches....and in the end, paper clips......once again proving what a diverse group this is.

.....and as for those illegal alligators....I believe it was this guy

that gave them such a bad reputation.

Alligator clips: http://www.muellerelectric.com/alligator_clips.html
The alligator clips shown here are considered Drug Paraphernalia and will land you in jail if you are caught in possession of them.

The ones Carbonman uses are called paper clips.

I don't think even Cheech and Chong used roach clips of that size. What would you be rolling that big for, you trying to get an elephant high? Or are you retiring today and no more drug tests and your making up for the past 35 years?

Tired of my nightly wrestling match with the hose, I am thinking of buying one of the hose management systems.

Question is: which do people find "better", the Bro-Gho HoseBuddy or the the Hozer?

Love to hear users' feedback on both.

I have the hose buddy, but I like the fact that the hozer isn't a fixed piece of metal that will move. However, the hozer does not allow you to have a hose cover on. I have gotten used to the hose buddy and just learned not to sit up and get out of bed with my mask on.

I also used the cpap hose lift. I got it for travel and the firehouse because it folds up almost flat and is very small and portable when folded up. I have found the hose lift very sturdy as I have used it for well over a year and traveled with it. I have used the hose lift about 100 times and it is still going strong. It's also at least half the cost of anything else.

I've never used the HoseBuddy, so I can't do a direct comparison. I've had the Hozer for a few weeks, and I really like it. I have a thick knitted cover on my hose, and it's true that the Hozer clips don't fit around it. It's possible it may work with a thin hose cover, but I'm not sure. I solved that problem by getting some Velcro "One-Wrap" reusable straps (at Michael's craft store). I just secure the hose using those (anchor the straps on top of and/or around the built-in Hozer clips) and it works fine. The hozer can be assembled and disassembled quickly, so it'd be great for travel, but it also seems sturdy enough for full-time use (which is how I use it). It's lightweight and comes with a carrying bag. It comes with three extension arms, so it should work fine with either a smaller bed or larger one. I am sleeping better since using it because I don't have to think about where my hose is when turning. It just moves right with me.

Hey Carbonman.
My hose management is simple. But, I have to laugh at my self most nights. By the time I get my mask & hose on & get attached to my unit, I feel I am hooked to my F&P Spaceship for the night . . . and away I go into the Universe . . .

My hose management is so simple I haven't thought of it as a management system, but it works.

My unit sits 4 inches below the mattress edge. My unit is a F & P with heated hose & I never have rainout. At night, I attach my hose to my unit. put my mask on & attach to the hose . . . then I lie down. The hose stays on top of the comforter. Then my F&P Spaceship and I drift off to sleep. The hose apparently follows my movements.

I don't use any clips, but if I did that looks like it would work well. Funny, I use one of those as a money clip!

I did get a cover for the hose and that was a huge improvement. The hose feels much better when it comes in contact with my body.

I have my hose attached to an elastic strap That is hooked to the top of a door in the head board. I then have it draped down over my head. I can't see spending 28 bucks for aa piece of wire to hold it up. When we go on a trip and stay in a Hotel I usually just live with it laying on the bed. If there is a head board on the bed then I just lay the hose over that.

I bit the bullet and bought the Hozer system after research on this forum. I choose the Hozer because I could sit up in bed without strangling myself. Since I received the system, I've watched my ai/ahi steadily decline with fewer, if any, leaks despite increasing pressure. For that reason, I'm sold.

During the day, I simply set the hose connection down flat behind my pillow when I make the bed. It's not readily visible to others--not that that is a big deal--but more importantly it's not visible to the cat. I'd have a hard time not shooting the cat, if he mistook the Hozer and Aussie hose as cat toys and destroyed them.

While the Hozer easily comes apart, I'm not sure that I will take it apart for travel--may just take my extra hose with a hose cover rather than disconnecting the Aussie hose from the Hozer.

I hadn't thought of disconnecting the Hozer like that for decreased visibility! It would be easy enough, as it just pulls right off easily from the base. My cat doesn't seem interested in it at all and I usually hang my PAPCap on top of the Hozer during the day, but there may be times I want the hose to be less visible. Thanks for that idea, scrapper!
