CSI Vegas and sleep disorders
I am watching CSI Vegas and on tonight's show there was a man that was using a cpap machine. A dead girl was found in his bathroom and the team had trouble waking the man up to find out what he knew about the dead girl. He told the team that he had apnea and used a cpap machine. He explained he didn't hear anything since he had a sleep deficit. They took him in for questioning and he told the team he had a narcolepsy as well.
It appears that more shows are creating awareness of sleep apnea and that is a good thing in my opinion.

I was wondering if it was out there more or if we are noticing it more now that we know about it and what it's all about.

Yeah but catching up on his sleep deficit while the hot chick takes a bath? come on now! and Narcolepsy too. Somebody didn't do their research.
Plus what kind of tank was he using that he didn't hear the chick scream? I heard the neighbours across the street fighting this summer.
He was wearing a full face mask - looked a lot like a quatro.

Well Langston said "those CPAP machines make a LOT of noise"...

I have to admit that since I have been on cpap and been sleeping better, I don't hear half the noises and rarely wake up. In fact the only time I wake up is when someone wakes me up by touching me or bumping the bed.

Well, the cpap user apparently was still new at it - he said he had a sleep deficit due to sleep apnea. Still thinking about a narcoleptic with a sleep deficit...hmmm...

I saw that also and was pleased to see another prime time show with a Cpap. The more they show them on TV the more "normal" I feel again instead of like a martian or Darth Vader. It did look similar to a Quattro but I didn't get a good enough look to see the dial. I am currently using the Quattro and even with the machine noise I can hear people talking and the tv on in the Living Room with my bedroom door closed. I feel more aware of outside noises with the Cpap than without it for some reason. But I no longer have a sleep deficit unless I have a few very bad nights which is rare.

Ahh, but remember - when he falls asleep from the narcolepsy he still isn't getting restful sleep (unless he is using his CPAP).kteague wrote:Well, the cpap user apparently was still new at it - he said he had a sleep deficit due to sleep apnea. I would take Natalie Boa Vista (Eva LaRue) on Miami anytime.
Now, she is smokin' doubly!
