Well, it was just one night. Can you try it a few more nights before tweaking?

Is it me or do the apneas almost coincide exactly with the leaks (which would make sense)? I'll bet that if you are able to get the leak line flatter, your AHI will come down, especially since you are having some medium-length events (27 seconds and 37 seconds). Once the leaks are under control, you may not need a higher pressure. In fact, if you do nothing for the leaks AND increase the pressure, it may make it worse.
Just my $0.02.

Yes during what looks like REM sleep, looks like you're right. This is a good example where if you looked at summary #s from report and display and just saw a 95 percentile leak of 3.6 l/min, it wouldn't be caught.
Perhaps I'm being restless or turning on my back or something else is going on here.... Good observation and good reason of why it will take more than one night to figure this out.
I might try ramp tonight at 8 for like 10 mins, but will leave CPAP at 10.

If I patiently wait 10-12 days minimum, I finally see my body responding to any changes I make in settings..................one night could be anything. I too, would work on the leaks before fiddling with anything else.

How ? what numbers?
Also I think dreaming and dream recall are two separate things. You may have been dreaming but are unable to recall.
When i have good nights i can recall about 2-3 dreams the next morning and its feels great.
As others have said i would concentrate on your leak rate at first.
Any reason you are using an autoset in CPAP mode?

Look at the detail from the middle of the night around 3AM. I'm extrapolating and calling that REM skeep. That's what I'm referring to, based on the time of night. Bottom line is although my overall numbers are reasonable, I'm still getting tired when I drive. That's what I'm trying to fix.

OK I was just asking in case i missed something
I notice your leak line is constant, are you sure you are not leaking as soon as you settle down for the night? Have you used the mask fit feature and checked for an excellent fit rating before you settle down?

I don't see any signifiant difference between your numbers as Cpap, and when you were using autopap. Getting up frequently is eliminated by using the lower pressure that the autopap allows, when it isn't catching events. My advice is to stay on autopap, as was suggested by your doctor, and you will gradually feel better. It takes some time to get your body used to the effects of therapy anyway--some folks take several months to a year to feel really rested, as you're playing catch up.

I hear ya. I want to try this for a week though, just to see if anything is different over a week. One night is really too soon.

My leak line is great. I got a blip of leakage which coincided with the large series of events at 3AM. Which kinda makes sense. I'm either doing something which is disturbing my sleep, or my sleep is not good during this interval, and so I must be tossing like a madman, even though I have no recollection of it. But one night is only a point. Let me get some more points here, and maybe it will make more sense.

Gotcha, Gary. Try it and see. My bet is the autopap, at a lower pressure for about 90-95% of the night (around 8 or so), and it will go up to 11 or 12 max for a few minutes. That would not be enough to wake you, and you'd feel equally rested, and less "wind burned" from a night of higher than necessary pressure. Try both and see.

CPAP Night 4.
Numbers look good. But I'm tired folks. I've had a few nights over the past few months where I've felt fantastic but haven't been able to replicate.
These numbers on CPAP look as good as any numbers I've gotten previously on APAP. But still am tired as I drive to work. This is bad. Sleep doc recommends caffeine when I last saw him. I don't buy it. Gotta be a way to get me down to AI = 0.0. Summary numbers posted for 4 nights, detail from last night. Good news is I dusted off my old Activa LT and I can get it to work without mouth breathing. Used Activa last night. Comments?
