LOL I sure hope not but I do look at it this way, if he was some internet cpap message board stalker LOL which Phil, I am SURE you aren't lol I hope I have scared him away now for good. If he is a decent guy, which I think is probably the case or at least hope well then I would hope he will understand where we are coming from as far as safety and respect that!

Very good point on the dangers of meeting someone from the internet.
GEE I would never had met Tom.
We met on Christian Singles.
That was a year this past June or July.

Which gives me an idea for a really off-topic thread, how we met our signficant others. What do you think? Think anyone will reply?

I guess I am all for it. I am 40 yrs old and that is why my b/f left after a 4 yr relationship. He has a new girl and made sure I know she does not have my problem.
But little does he know I feel better now he is gone
A sense of humor can help you overlook the unattractive, tolerate the unpleasant, cope with the unexpected, and smile through the unbearable

Well, this might be the wrong thing to say, but if that's his attitude, you're so much better for his leaving. What a horrible thing to think, let alone tell you. I can't believe he'd actually admit that.
You'll find someone better and more compassionate. That was Mr. Wrong and it's good he left.

I met my wonderful husband on a place called friendfinder, and we have been happily married for almost 4 years now. I think the internet is a great place to meet people...but like RG said...as long as you're careful.

Careful is the word of the day when meeting someone from the internet.

I can't resist sharing the story of my first night with my CPAP machine and hose. I went into the bedroom for a while, then emerged with my full face mask on, with my hair pulled up and through the mask straps for the most dishevelled looking effect possible. I then grabbed the 6' hose and swung it from my hip in a mock strip tease while singing "vaboom, vaboom, vaboom..." I will never forget the look on my teenage daughter's face. Or the laughter. For all you other singles out there I highly recommend this as a technique to impress your date! If your date can't laugh at this, it will be proof that he or she does not have a good enough sense of humour to be long term relationship material.

Having a daughter that just turned 18 (last week) this sounds like one of a father's worst nightmares.

Perhaps a better way to meet people would be to invite those in your area to meet for lunch or a drink or ?? Invite the married and single, since you never know who your married friends know that they can introduce you to. This creates safety in numbers. I would love to meet folks in the Phoenix Metro area that might participate on this forum. I think it could be fun, any one from Arizona?

MEEE!!!
I think there may be a couple more desert dwellers on here, as well.
I live in Casa Grande, commute to Tempe for work.

Great Boomer,
Let's see if we can snag a few more and schedule a time to meet. I work in Chandler and live in Tempe.
