Obtaining EncorePro

Post by scrapper » Tue Dec 01, 2009 2:11 pm

Can someone pm me possible sources for EncorePro software..........I'm helping a friend monitor her treatment. She owns a RemStar Pro with C Flex machine. You've been such a wonderful resource with my own ResMed products.......

Exactly WHICH machine does she have? There have been several models with the word "Pro" in it.

The older (plain) Pro (looks like the one in my profile) was not data capable and any software you acquire will NOT help because all it collects is hours used.

The older Pro 2 (which is the one in my profile) IS fully data-capable and will give full details.

Then, there's the newer M Series Pro which has C-Flex. It's also a fully data-capable machine.

This is essentially a different subject. I was referring to the REMstar Pro 2 (machine) and not the Encore Pro (software).

Those of you with the new PR 1 systems are going to have to wait till (at least) next year before the Encore Pro 2.1 is available.

While EncorePro 1.18 is easily available through a number of channels, I am yet to see a copy of 2.1 posted anywhere accessible.

I know the patient version isnt out there, but dont the doctors and DMEs have the professional version of 2.1? Would be nice to be able to purchase that or something... Finding a place to sell it seems impossible though.

So far, I haven't heard from ANY sources (rumors or otherwise) that it's available to ANYBODY.

The later one is the machine my friend has........she's had it about two years. Does that add up with what you know?

I can confirm it's available for download from Respironics site for authorized DME's/distributors.

Thanks jdm5. I remember my DME claiming to have it on their computers, so I figured it was already out for them, but couldnt be 100 % certain that they wernt just confused.

I wonder why its such a big deal to not let the consumer have that version. If its just because it allows you to make adjustments to the machine, thats a little silly since pretty much anyone can easily look up the handshake to make the changes without the card or software. It would be so great to be able buy a copy of the software.

I tested EncorePro 2.2 and its pretty much the same as 1.8 and not worth any bother unless you have a PR System One, a functionality I was unable to test as I have a M-Series Pro.

Looks like Encore Pro Analyzer will need a patch as it does not work with the database of Encore Pro 2

Glad to see it out though!

They have changed the name of the database (again) in Encore Pro 2. Unfortunately I don't have access to 2.0 to test weather simply detecting the version and then trying to connect to the new database name is enough to make EPA work. It might be that simple or it might require other changes as well.
