high ahi's during wake time

Post by rich d » Wed Nov 25, 2009 7:47 pm

While asleep my ahi index is normally fine, however while awake lying in bed it may double. Anyone have similar experiences or insight as to the reason.

It happens to me all the time. One night i had very little sleep, the next day on the report i had one of the highest count of ahi's. It must have something to do with your breathing.

The machines are made to measure sleeping data, not awake data. Our bodies operate under different rules when asleep and awake. while sleeping our Respiration rate changes and is controlled diferently. Jim
