Repti Heated Cable and Leviton Lamp Dimmer

The Repti Heated Cable was a little too warm so I found a Leviton TB103 Plug-in Lamp Dimmer for $10 at Home Depot. Worked great.

A large portion of this membership thinks we lizard heater users are crazy to begin with, so I suggest that you rephrase this to state that the air was too warm for comfort.

The Repti-Cable doesn't get "hot" at full power, and at the less than 50% dimmer setting at which I use my 25W cable, the cable is probably less than 100F. It really doesn't take much heat to solve the rainout issues, and at low power, it doesn't make the air feel like it's from a hothouse.

Maybe they're right and we ARE crazy. One member questions why we're jumping thru hoops to save $140, and we're challenging each other over 4 cents!

I am just too stubborn to pay $140 for something that should cost about $50. But yes, I have been called many variations of "crazy"! At least I'm not boring!
