Suggesting names for masks?

Post by ozij » Fri Sep 30, 2005 4:22 am

I was looking at that list of mask names in Susan's poem.

Did you notice how insubstatial all those words are: Oracle. Breeze, Aura, Swift, Mirage, Infinity.

Not a whiff of hint (...) of how annoying the touch of silicone feels on a beginners face.

I wonder if we can make some suggestion too -

The Magic Marker - guaranteed to leave red spots on you face for 5 hours after you take it off

The Howling Harridan - leaky enough silence any spouse

Xantipa's Revenge - ditto

Dreamland - a testimony to the validity of our PR.

How about "Wonder Wind" or "Vader's Revenge" ?
"The Mask of the Red Marks"

I'm leaning toward something like "Nightmare on (insert street name here)"

the "It just looks like the dog ate it" mask,

or the "3 sizes to fit no one" interface.

Mike, I've got a new idea for a full-face mask for you to develop, but I'm not sure what to call it.

One problem with full-face masks is the area of the seal greatly increases as the surface area of the mask increases, leading to a higher likelihood of leaks. So how about a bag that covers your entire head and seals around your neck? Massive surface area, no pressure on the bridge of your nose and a relatively small seal area.

Heck, you could probably prototype it out of a big plastic bag and a velcro strap! .

Bonus: no marks on your face! OK, maybe some on your neck but you can easily hide that with clothing.

Let's see a black garbage bag some duct tape and a length of dryer vent. I think we can call it the Nitey Night Cap. LOL
