Will wrapping hose in tin foil help avoid rainout?
Will wrapping hose in tin foil help avoid rainout?
This may sound crazy but if someone has tried it I'd like to know if it worked.

Don't know - I used some old tube socks with holes in the toes or socks that didn't have mates anymore. Cut off the toes and then cut the socks open and wrapped them around the hose then I used rubber bands to hold the socks in place.

whats rainout?

Water in the hose = rainout

The snugglies are used as an insulator, to keep the heat in. tin foil I believe as metal would be more of a conductor, than an insulator, and I would be surprised if it would work.

I'm not sure it would help. Maybe it would be like one of those space blankets that reflect heat back in.

I doubt this will help. Aluminum and tin foil bleeds off heat really quickly, so it would probably make your hose get cooler faster.

When we henna our hair we wrap our heads in saran wrap then tinfoil and then a towel. That combination keeps the heat in nicely.
Maybe the best would be thinsulate(tm) - a special insulating material for winter coats. You can get it at your local fabric store if you live in a colder climate. It has a combination of foil & blanket material.
The metalic parts needs to be against the hose to reflect the heat and the blanket part on the outside to prevent conduction . - I think.
