Hubby and I received our machines earlier this week, then I had to find distilled water for the humidifiers (we have the same machines). I got the hoses and masks all cleaned up, etc.
I lasted until about 4.30, got over six hours sleep with the CPAP overall, then I really felt the need to sleep on my stomach, so I took off the mask and slept another two hours. (Hubby only lasted about two and a half hours). I woke up a few times, once because our bedroom had gotten so hot from the two humidifiers that I had to turn on the fan and open a window.
I took a look at the data this morning, 2 AHIs. What really surprised me was that the pressure went up to about 17 for most of the night. My prescribed pressure from the study was 8.
I'm also interested in finding out if I had leaks. Large leak is 0 min; average leak is 50.
I can post the chart if someone can point me in the right direction for getting the image out of the viewer.
Last night was the first night!
Re: Last night was the first night!
I don't think you have the Plus, I understand that one only gives compliance data(hrs used) so if you can download data you must have an upgraded model.

I think it would be useful to post a chart. That average leak sounds a little high. I have a similar mask, and I see a leak of around 30. Maybe there was a small leak and the machine had to boost the pressure to compensate. The numbers get a little flaky when there are leaks. If that is an OK number for your mask, then it would be interesting to see what the machine was responding to. Having that big of difference between your sleep study and where your machine adjusts is a but curious. If you have to stay at this pressure, it might be that a BiPAP machine might be more comfortable.
Give this a few days to settle down. It is important to start getting some good sleep, and you did really well at 6 hours the first night. I was more in the class with your husband, having a hard time lasting 3 hours the first night. He will adapt, and your bodies will adjust to the machine.
It might be that you are very position sensitive. It might be that you slept in a position that worked better in your sleep study, and you hit a position last night that didn't work. You can experiment with different position. One side or the other typically works best for folks in this category. For example, I do really well on my right side, but I am untreatable when I sleep on my back.
