Been argumentative--sorry!

Post by Autopapdude » Thu Oct 22, 2009 1:22 pm

I'd like to apologize if I came off contentious in any of my recent posts. I have had some family issues, with my son, which concerned me quite a bit. After discussing things with him today on the phone (he's 2000 miles away), I feel much better, and wish to offer an apology to anyone I offended or hassled with nasty or edgy posts. Please forgive a veteran hoser, who let his emotions go overboard a bit. <contrite>

Blame it on a bad night of CPAP.

Crap ...I missed the offending posts .....
....could you add links to them so I can catch up?
I don't know if I should accept your apology or not.

Also, as a relative newbie, I didn't realize that
after some number of years of being a hose head,
you had to be in total control of your emotions.

....geez, nobody told me it was going to be this hard ....

Hey, we're all struggling with some sort of issue here, mostly surviving sleep so as I see it most of us cut each other some slack when we begin to rant a bit, err, over-react (yes, that the phrase ). Some are more resiliant that way, others less so; what's unfortunate is when 2 or 3 who are stressed get into it over things they'd normally let go by -- understandable but nonetheless sometimes the source of unintended hilarity in these threads.

It's not the total, carbonman, it's which part of the partial is overboard that makes thing so difficult.

Autopapdude - I read those posts - I'm glad things are OK for you now.

O.

What good is a forum focused on respiration if you can't vent once in a while?

Hey Autopapdude, it's good to hear that your family issue is ok now. That's really all that matters. My youngest son (book smart, street dumb) is over in Europe for the fall semester, running around without a care in the world, and I worry about him every day! That "father-son thing" can wear on you. At least we can strap on our mask every night and dream sweet dreams!

By the way, so how do you feel about a guy who doesn't want to use his cpap in front of his new girlfriend?

Just kidding "Dude". You seem like a good guy, arguments and all.

Hee-hee (rubbing my hands together with glee)! Can't wait to go read those posts. Sounds like it'll be the most fun I've had all day.

Glad things are looking up for you. We forgive you.

I had to go back and see if you made any cranky replies to me....no, you did not offend me in any way, in fact, you were quite helpful.

Family can drive you crazy, can't they? Glad things are going better.

Me too.

I call it being able to vent without having to face the consequences.

I still reckon there are members out there who have read a post of mine as soon as it appeared, then one minute later could no longer find it. Or certain abusive or ambiguous sentences might be missing.

Now you know why

My emotional side sometimes gets ahead of my rational side, and please, no remarks about whether or not I have a rational side, other wise I might have to vent .

cheers
