Second night much better

Post by lok » Fri Oct 16, 2009 3:43 am

First night i peeled the mask off.....The pressure seemed too high, dry throat, dry nasal pasages....I got two hours sleep.....The second night I took it off cpap and put it on auto. I used a saline solution for nose, turned up the humidifier, and lengthened my ramp time . I got eight hours sleep . I woke up refreshed with little grogyness(is this a word 8P)....I haven't checked the numbers yet, but I feel like the morning after my sleep study which they tried masks and tweeked the machine they use......Much better......I also want to thank you all for your posts....Reading all your problems and solutions made a big difference...Thank You Great Community!!!

So great to hear someone doing well so soon! BTW, you had a typo... it's "grogginess" .

Definitely a huge improvement---once you get past the first week or two, it starts to get so much better rapidly.

If you slept 8 hours with CPAP on your second night, you are w-a-y ahead of the game. WOO HOO! Way To Go!

Lok,

Two hours the first night? Sounds about right... 8 hours the 2nd night? You rock, dude! It took me about a week to get to 6 hours, and about 4 months to get to 7-1/2 hours. Even better, you say you feel good, which is the hallmark of effective treatment.
