Oh my... Quattro... i think i... oh oh

Post by Eric_M » Fri Oct 09, 2009 11:16 am

where have ya been all my life?

Well last week I got the fulllife... I thought at one point I had the nose bridge soreness fixed... but noooooo! My nose is #%^$^ up and wore it for the last time last night. Sux, the lower 95% was awesome.

So I got the Quattro... wow... comfy... I dont care for the bar up to the forehead (for watching TV and stuff), however, it does provide nice support. I can not make this thing leak... simply amazing!

The only drawback I do see on it... is there is not a quick disconnect for the hose.... any tidbits on how to make one? But all in all that is not a show stoppper.

Cant wait to sleep

In some ways I don't like the bar on the forhead either, but I think that it's an unavoidable part of how the Quattro keeps the pressure off the nose. In any event, the elbow joint where the mask meets the hose disconnects easily from the rest of the mask by pulling out and up. It snaps back in just as easily. So there is a built-in quick disconnect.

The grey piece connected to the elbow is the quick connect. Just push it all the way into the hose and then just unsnap it from the elbow. If you go to the Resmed site, they show it in the video.

Rustyolddude is right. You can disconnect easily at either end of the elbow, but the outer end at the grey piece that fits into the hose is better. It's easier and probably less likely to damage the mask. I'm not sure why I got in the habit of disconnecting at the mask.
