DME in Toronto help please
DME in Toronto help please
Hi guys. I was contacted by someone in Toronto looking for an honest reliable DME (HA HA HA HA:....yeah...I know)
Anyhow I've invited her to join us here but just in case she doesn't make it any thoughts? Moneygal...was it you who was able to talk down the price of the equipment to almost US level prices (or at least to close to what OHIP covers?). I'm unclear whether she has extended coverage or not privately.
This individual has centrals so I'm assuming that means a bilevel machine and such. I really hope she makes it over to have you learned folks help guide her. In the meantime....any of my Toronto peeps got any recommendations?
I saw one in Richmond hill but haven't investigated them yet. I was going to look at them for some future usage personally.

Froro: I didn't even have to talk my DME down -- my sleep doc phoned the DME and instructed them what to charge me. I paid $500 flat for the equipment listed in my profile, and also was provided with 12 months of filters, and a hose cover (plus mask fitting yadda yadda and follow-up appointments and phone calls at the one, 3, and 6-month marks -- so far).
My DME is the Sleep Management Group; they have a couple of offices in different locations.
However, as you may see from my story, perhaps the best thing to do is get a fantastic doctor. Mine is Michael Hawke. I haven't seen him since diagnosis and one follow-up appointment, but my regular FP is monitoring my treatment with me.

Okay...seriously?? Wow!! I used the same DME (probably different location) and they charged me up the wazoo!!
Sleep doc diffence indeed. I'm going to have to check him out too. Mine barely spent two minutes with me.

I had the owner,Rod,from the Hamilton head office take of me very well.
Just tell him what you need, there are 4 office locations around the Golden Horseshoe.

If you mean Ispirair on Yonge St in Richmond Hill, I would give them a pass. I used them, and let's just say I will not consider using them again.
