Howdy All,
In the next few days, those of you who qualify for a Report Spam button will see a new button appear - the Twitter button. If you see a thread that you think merits display on
http://www.twitter.com/cpaptalk, simply click the button and confirm.
I hope this little button can get the word out about CPAPtalk and Sleep Apnea in general.
Johnny

Well, you did code the feature. I guess you get SOMETHING for that.

I don't get it, why would one need to qualify to report a post as spam? And how do you qualify? I don't have a spam button, thus I don't have a twitter button. But I am glad it is there for those have access to it.

I think to qualify for the spam and twitter button, you have had to be a member for so long. We had some awhile back that was abusing the privilege of the spam button, making new identities and then deleting posts, in other words, not playing nice.
Johnny was gracious enough to still allow us to still police ourselves, but made a few rules in order for it to be fair for all on the forum.

Johnny went one step further in the courtesy department: before instituting any changes, he first consulted us, asking us if his proposed change would be acceptable. Most of us liked the idea.

Thx,

Isn't it supposed to be 'tweeted', instead of 'twitted'?

I guess you're right.. i just updated to 'tweeted'. Twitted sounds the same, looks better but defines differently. May be this where it can have a new definition.. well just may be.

Trinh --
I was a twit long before you.
And way before the creation of Twitter.
Keep up the good programming!

Finally something we can all agree on, lmao.
Certainly twits can twit. Twitted would be past tense or what twits do.

I agree with Gumby - Twitter is for Twits.
Great googly moogly, what's next? Why not just imbed a chip in my body and immediately post cpaptalk posts there?
Okay, you youngsters, go Twit. Us Oldsters will sit here and play our 45 records and rock our chairs...

Forgive me. I'm old and out of date.
I'm way way behind on technology. Only had a cell phone for awhile. Always keep it on vibrate. (don't know why)
What can we do on twitter that we can't do here? (I've never twittered, not very sure what it is)

Howdy Johnny,
I think this is a great idea on the spam however, I have deleted a few during my 2 years on this board and we all get tired of it! I am like many others here, I am curious as to why it would be sent to Twitter, do they help control the spam and try to find out who is posting it ???
BTW, I thought Twitter was a search engine like google...
Thanks, a total newbie to Twitter...
