A-flex not automatic

Post by Roberta » Sat Sep 19, 2009 9:35 am

Anyone else have this problem? Usually within seconds after I connect the hose to my mask I begin to get air immediately. I was REALLY sleepy last night and went went to sleep immediately. I woke up 3 hours later to find the machine had not kicked on. I think it happened once before but I was still awake and able to depress the button to turn it on.

Many people with FFM (and you indicate you have one) need to put a finger over the anti-asphixia valve vent on the mask at the start to get the XPAP to auto start. I know I do. For the Quattro that valve vent is in front on the elbow connector.

Interesting Roberta. I've had the same experience with the machine turning on automatically. Early this morning for the first time, it did not. Not sure why. Fortunately, I knew it immediately.
