Clinical setting on Resmed S8 AutoSet II
Clinical setting on Resmed S8 AutoSet II
I have been using the Resmed S8 AutoSet II for amost two weeks which is my first experience with a apap machine since I was just diagnosed with moderate sleep apnea three weeks ago. I'm afraid that I have somehow deleted my readings. After reading a post here, I was able to see what my AHI, HI, Leak, etc. readings were through the Clinical setting. But today, all my readings are gone. It use to show the readings for the week, and in the mornings I was able to see the readings for the day. When I checked the readings in the afternoon, the day reading showed no data, but I could still see the weeks. The month and year showed no data, because I've not had it for a month or year (I'm assuming that's why). My question is, is this normal or have I some how deleted it? I realize there is a button that ask if I want to delete the data (in a different mode), but I didn't do that. Is there any one who knows if it is normal for the data to display "no data" sometimes or have I delete my data and am going to get in trouble with me PT?
Re: Clinical setting on Resmed S8 AutoSet II
I've had my cpap for 5 weeks and experienced no data 2 times, don't have an explaination, but as long as the unit continues to work, I wouldn't sweat it.

I'm not completely certain about this, but I seem to remember reading that the daily data available on the display is not available after 12:00 PM. The data is still stored in the machine and available via the smart card (which you will need a reader and software for), but not on the display.

Re: Clinical setting on Resmed S8 AutoSet II
Thanks, for the information. That makes me feel a lot better. I was starting to panic, which I really don't need the extra stress since I stress out everytime I have to go to sleep. I'm trying my third mask and am having trouble adapting to the entire ordeal of having sleep apnea. So far I wake up exhausted and have seen no improvement physically.

I read same info. Thought, I had wiped out all my data first time too.skantner wrote: I seem to remember reading that the daily data available on the display is not available after 12:00 PM.

No, you didn't do anything. It's good to check it first thing when you get up, but I believe the cycle is something either 4 hours from when you turned it off, or maybe an internal clock for noon. When it drops as the day, it becomes the 7th day of your weekly stats, etc.
Re: Clinical setting on Resmed S8 AutoSet II
The daily data is available for the current "day" which runs from noon to noon. So, after noon, you are in a new day, and show no data until your first sleep session after noon.
If you take a nap from 1 to 2pm using the machine, you will see daily data afterwards.

I am to thankful for this site and the wealth of knowledge I have gain from it. I appreciate the post, and believe me, I was about to panic that I had really screwed up my machine. Thanks to you all, I actually was able to calm down, and only stress out about trying a new mask for the second night in a row.
