for the water problem, i understand it happens because of condensation from the warm air coming out of the unit to the cold tubing.... so using a tube cover that allows the tube to mantain a warmer temperature, reduced almost completely the problem...! you can just do it yourself with a light piyama material... it is really easy and does not cost much... just the material...!
