Need help translating results
I have received my first printout of results from my cpap and have just a couple questions.
1. How can I attach a PDF file so everyone can see the graphs on here?
2. The info printed is:
Sta:tistic'S
Product: Elite II AMER
7126/2009 -8/612009
Device Settings
Therapy Mode: CPAP
Set Pressure: 8.0 cmH2
EPR Mode: FULlTIME
EPR Level: 3.0 cmH20
Pressure -cmH20
Median: 62
Maximum: 8.0
Leak -Umin Median: 1.8
95th Percentile: 8.4
Maximum: 55.2
AHI & AI-Eventsfhr
Apnea index: 0.3
AHI:5.5
% Time in Apnea: 0.1
Hypopnea index: 5.2
Usage
Used Days >= 4 hrs : 11
Used Days < 4 hrs : 1
% Used Days >= 4 hrs : 91
Days not used: 0
Total days: 12
Median daily usage: 8:56
Total hours used: 96:20
Average daily usage: 8:01
I am having trouble understanding the Leak information. Do I want to be in the 95th percentile for a majority of the night?? If so, does it appear that I am having too much leaking and would mouth breathing be considered a leak?
I switched to a full face mask over the weekend and am considering firing it and re-hiring the Zest that I had. I thought maybe the full face would help with leaks, but it has been nothing but a pain in my arse....keeps leaking at eyes and chin area, I have a giant red sore at the top of my nose, and haven't slept good for the last 3 nights, URGH!

Sleepy,
Make sure that you have either the correct Resmed mask you are using selected in the Clinician's menu, or if you are using a non-Resmed mask that you select "Standard" for your mask. Otherwise your leak data will be skewed. You data looks ok, it would be better to have your HI down a bit but you are in the ballpark overall. Keep up the good work!

to post the images of the graphs you have to upload them to a host site. Many use Photobucket, it is free.
So first get the image you want in front of you.
Then take a screen shot of it.
Use Paint to crop it and save in jpeg file format.
If you have Vista, the Vista snipping tool will crop and do the screen shot at the same time. Nifty.
Once you have it cropped and saved as jpeg where you can find it easily you have to upload it to the Photobucket account.
Once it is there you have to copy the IMG location code and paste it into the board post. You have to be sure to include both the beginning and ending IMG bracket codes. You cannot use the url address, must use IMG location code which is easily found with the image.
Use the preview button to see if the image shows up properly, if not, something is missing.
You can also use free screen capture programs and crop with them. I have been using screen shots with XP and Paint and now Vista for so long, it is quicker for me to use those but any program that will get you a readable screen shot is fine to use.

My mask is a Zest and it is set to standard. My pressure is currently 8 but DME said it is being bumped to 10.

Re: Need help translating results

I did it!!! Thanks!
OK, in looking at the Leak chart....am I supposed to be paying attention to the red line?? Or better yet, how should that chart look if everything is really, really good??
Re: Need help translating results
can you give us one day's report instead of the summary page? We really can't get a complete picture looking at summary data.
And yes, the red line is the leak rate line, you want to be below it as much as possible.

Re: Need help translating results
This was all the info that was given to me by the DME aside from the original posted info.
Re: Need help translating results
Next time ask for the daily detail pages for each day. That way you can see the events and leak relation (if any) along with pressure line.
Summary really just gives an overall picture and an average set of numbers base on those days.
No way to really determine what went on each day, at least to my satisfaction.

I had to do alot of searching to find this post on how to download data to photo bucket!
Is it possible to add this link to "Where a newbie should start" ??? So that it would make it easier for newbies to find.
I did a search there but couldn't seem to find it...
If I missed it, please let me know..
Thanks,
