Re: ACR38 / ResScan
I have mine working with Vista sp2. Just installed the Rescan 3.7 software and the reader worked. UAC off and ran as admin.
There shouldn't be any issues with XP. What issues are you seeing?
I can't find any reference to the 3.8 version anywhere.

Re: ACR38 / ResScan
Tom,
3.8 was a typo. I have ResScan 3.7. I edited that now.
I attached ACR38 and did install->driver on ResScan software. When I try to download data to ResScan it says something like "No flow generator found". I reinstalled ResScan and installed the reader at ResScan installation dialog. I get the same message. I downloaded the latest driver from ACR38 site and reinstalled driver on ResScan. Still get the same message.
Before someone suspecting the card insertion, I do insert the card with contacts facing up. I get green light flashing and sometimes staying on (on ACR38).
Any tips are very much appreciated.

Re: ACR38 / ResScan
If you have a wireless card installed, try disabling it.
Use Start>right-click My Computer>Properties>Hardware Tab>Device Manager Button
Expand Network Adapters, right-click your wireless adapter, and click Disable. Then answer Yes to the message box.
Then start ResScan and see if it works.
To re-enable the card proceed as above (or leave the window open) and select enable when you right-click the wireless card.
This has helped several people, although no one has determined exactly why.

Re: ACR38 / ResScan
Thank you Tom and jdm for helping me out.
I finally got it working. I have no explanation for the problem. I did several uninstall-reinstall cycles, re-booted several times, and it started working when I killed several processes including devicescan2.exe. I am not a big windows fan.
Now is the time to learn how to read output of ResScan. I will post my chart on a separate thread. Please help me out by commenting on it. I see apneas of 42, which concerns me a little.

Glad you got it to work... My numbers were high when I first started, I am glad I had the software to help troubleshoot.
Re: ACR38 / ResScan
I'm glad too.
Clearly, software development isn't one of ResMed's strong points.
And the fact that they won't support end-users makes it even worse.
I just picked up a ResLink module to play with. i'm hoping that using a SmartMedia card and reader instead of the data card means that I won't have to disable/enable my wireless adapter every time I upload data.
