Yep, had my windows open when my ac was broken.

I even live in rural area with a fairly high crime rate -- it is normal for people without ac to have windows open around here. The crime rate doesn't seem to be significantly higher.

If juliebove wanted CPAP therapy to succeed, she would have found a way "no if's ands or buts" but...............

Given the consequences of not using the machine how do you intend on getting back on it?

Have you looked in purchasing a portable airconditioner? We had trouble with our central over a 2 week span and we looked into getting one. Although we decided on getting a window unit and now that our central AC is back working and we plan on using the window as a back up, the portable one looked promising. It was a little expensive.

Hope you get cool soon.
They have to be vented to the outside which means leaving a window open or cutting a hole in the wall. I can't/won't do either thing.
Well maybe you could just not try anything that anyone suggests and just complain ... lots of people do that ... no reason why you should not be able to do the same. Can't and won't are words fit for failure. Can and will are words for success.
President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

Julie, I think it is important to look at what we are doing maybe subconsciously to sabbotage ourselves. I know some time ago you posted the same type of topic and I gave many ideas to handle the issues. I even told you how you can install the portable air conditioners so that it would not be able to break into the home easily, certainly no easier than if they jimmy open a window. My Portable unit is more secure than the window used to be, we had a piece of solid wood cut, made the holes for venting , and it is secured to the metal frame, and it's not going any where. It seems any solution people proposed then and now is knocked down, some times, we may not like something totally, but if we find total negative in everything then it can never suceed. I to hate fans, as a matter a fact I hate the air conditioner as well, but I know that I need it, so I just have to make do and cope the best that I can. I was worried for security issues with the AC's, and so I found a way to secure them that now in fact I am more secure with them in than I am with them out. If you really want to solve a problem there is always a way, we just have to put our mind's to it. I dont mean this in any way in an insulting way, I just think maybe subconsciously you are sabbotaging your own comfort/progress.

Julie

I understand your comments about the high temperatures you are having. When the temp gets above 95, I feel beat, your temperatures have been record high.

This may sound like a strange suggestion, but when I used to sleep in my Grandmother's unheated bedroom in the winter,
she put a heated rock in the bed. Would it help you to put an ice pack at your feet? If you could feel cool during the night, perhaps you would feel better.

Hope the weather improves for you very soon.

Jan
